Featherstone have announced the signings of Callum Field, Joe Summers and Jacob Doyle ahead of the 2021 Championship campaign.

The club have added the trio to their squad on one-year deals, following the signing announcements of Franke Halton and Harvey Spence.

Field, 22, who joins from Leigh, said: “This past year with Leigh hasn’t gone to plan for me, so I can’t wait to get started with the lads at Featherstone going into next season.

“I want 2021 to be a year to remember and one that will help my career progress to the next level. I know everyone at Rovers are aiming to make that push into Super League, they have been so close in recent years and I want to be involved with the side that achieves this goal.”

Summers, 20, was named Academy Player of the Year and Players’ Player of the Year for the Castleford last season.

He said: “I’m really excited to have signed for Featherstone, I’m hoping to prove myself in the first team and secure my spot week in, week out. My ambition is to play in the Super League and after speaking to Featherstone I realised I can achieve my goals with this club and go far.

“I’m really looking forward to getting here for pre-season and meeting the lads and supporters. Until then I am focusing on helping Castleford with their goals this year in the Super League.”

Doyle, 19, also joins from Castleford’s academy. He said: “This is an exciting new chapter in my career, I’m looking forward to getting into a new environment and challenging myself.

“I want to be the best player that I can be, but most of all I want to be able to contribute to the team and showcase my abilities in a first team situation.”
