Swinton have secured the signing of Connor Farrell on loan from Wigan.

The 23-year-old has been with Wigan Warriors since 2013, but has recently undergone surgery on an injury which he received earlier this season that saw him miss the start of the current campaign.

Lions’ boss John Duffy said: “I’m delighted that Connor became available – he has loads of Super League experience and this will rub off on the squad.

“He is a tough, robust, skilful and no-nonsense player with a big engine. I’m looking forward to seeing him put on a Swinton shirt.”

Swinton chairman John Roddy added: “We are delighted to have a player of Connor’s calibre here at Swinton and John has shown he can get the best out of young, talented players.

“We believe it will be mutually beneficial and it will be a great career move for Connor, and we are receiving a hardworking, professional player.”
