Farah and Wests enjoying Mick Potter reign

Robbie Farah insists his Wests Tigers team can have “no excuses” for not performing in the upcoming NRL season.

Speaking after the Tigers’ 41-4 trial victory over Parramatta at the weekend, skipper Farah declared the squad has enjoyed the influence of new coach Mick Potter.

“We’ve had a great pre-season under Mick,” said NSW Blues Origin hooker Farah.

“We’ve enjoyed it and our preparation has been second to none. We’ve got no excuses heading into the season.

“Mick has brought in his own ideas so we’ll continue to work on those things and try to relate to his style.

“So far we’ve jumped on board with what he wants from us and we’ll continue to work on it.”

New recruit Braith Anasta made a flying start to his time with the Tigers in the match against the Eels, scoring twice in the encounter at Campbelltown Stadium.
