Fans to arrive at Grand Final in style, thanks to Fred’s Taxis!

Fred makes it a sure bet that fans will arrive at the Betfred Grand Final on time… and for free!

Bookie boss Fred Done is picking up the fare of supporters heading for the Wigan v Warrington showdown, after hiring TEN black cabs for a cool £20,000.

So it will be all aboard for free, for fans flagging down the taxis that can’t be missed – as they are all resplendent in Betfred colours!

And that’s not all – one fan in the right cab at the right time will win £1,000 AND a signed Grand Final ball, while another ten supporters will be handed £100 consolation prizes.

To go for free, fans need to show their final ticket to the driver; who will only be picking up Warriors and Wolves supporters within Manchester city centre, in the M1, M2 or M3 postcodes, between 10am and kick off at 6pm on Saturday.

Sean O’Loughlin, the veteran Wigan captain and his counterpart Chris Hill, the Wire skipper (both pictured), might be set to lock horns in the season’s finale – but they were united on one thing as they had a sneak preview of the red, blue and purple cabs.

Sean said, “It is a smashing idea for our fans to turn up in style with the prospect of a few quid in their pockets… maybe one cab could hang around for me after the match.”

Chris added; “For sponsors Betfred to splash out to help the fans is brilliant – well played.”

Betfred boss Fred Done said; “I have never had a taxi fare as big as this, but I have no regrets whatsoever. The supporters of both these famous clubs are the salt of the earth who love their rugby league – and deserve to arrive at the final in comfort.

The weather forecast for Manchester on Saturday is warm but with a 34 per cent chance of rain, so the specially painted free cabs are going to be very busy.”
