Fans Gear Up for Battle of Yorkshire

Hull FC are preparing to welcome a bumper crowd when Leeds Rhinos come to town for Friday night's ‘Battle of Yorkshire' at The Kingston Communications Stadium.

Confidence has never been higher in the FC camp, although a wounding Rhinos side will be keen to bounce back after a disappointing run of three defeats.

James Rule, Hull FC Marketing Director, said: "The launch of Friday Night Freebies led to a surge in ticket sales over the weekend. Large sections of the East Stand and South Stand are nearing capacity as fans prepare for a crucial four pointer with old rivals Leeds."

Head Coach Peter Sharp is under no illusions of the task ahead of him and his squad, he does however believe the Black and White fans can act a ‘fourteen man'.

Sharp said: "It's going to be a real cracker with two tops sides at this stage of the season. The battle for second place is very much on, it's a game that really catches the imagination and I'm sure the Hull people will be out in force for this one. It's a game that is worth the admission fee, there are going to be battles going on all over the field.
