Falloon: Confidence key for Rhinos revival

Leeds hooker Beau Falloon says the Rhinos can get their confidence back with a win over fellow Super League strugglers Huddersfield tomorrow.

Both Yorkshire clubs are near the bottom of the table after terrible starts to the season.

Leeds are coming off a close loss to St Helens, their ninth of the year, while the Giants are coming off a tight defeat to Wigan, their tenth of 2016.

Both the defending champions and Huddersfield are now battling to avoid the Middle Eights.

“It’s just about getting our confidence back,” Falloon said.

“They’re in a similar spot to us, they’ve faced quite a few injuries to key players. It won’t be too far away until they turn their form around as well.

“They’ll be up for it, it’s a home game for them.”

Leeds face Huddersfield twice at the John Smith’s Stadium over the next week, with a Challenge Cup tie to be played on May 8.

“We played them two weeks in a row so that’s quite different,” Falloon admitted.

“I’m sure the boys will be looking forward to having a big game this week.”

Falloon will come up against fellow Aussie hooker Ryan Hinchcliffe tonight, with the pair playing against each other several times in the NRL over the past eight years.

“Hinchcliffe’s a great player,” the 28-year old said.

“He’s really strong defender and great around the ruck. I’m sure he’ll be out to have a good game.”
