Fairbank joins Bulls on loan

Bradford have signed Huddersfield forward Jacob Fairbank on a month’s loan.

Fairbank, 23, will go straight in to the Bulls squad for Friday’s game at Salford, to ease Francis Cummins’ pack worries.

The Bulls are without Manase Manuokafoa with a fractured thumb, and also have doubts over Adam Sidlow and Jamie Langley.

Cummins said: “He couldn’t get in at Huddersfield but there is an opportunity for him here to come and do a great job for us, then force his way back in there or get an opportunity here or somewhere else.”

Fairbank, who has made four appearances for Huddersfield this season, is under contract at the John Smith’s Stadium until the end of 2015.

His uncle Karl is a former Bradford player and Great Britain international, and played for the Bulls in the 1996 Challenge Cup final loss to St Helens.
