Melbourne Storm's top-of-the-table clash against the Brisbane Broncos this Friday night looks set to see Olympic Park's biggest rugby league crowd in recent times.

"Demand for tickets for the Friday night clash has been unprecedented, and given the influx of interstate visitors to Melbourne and the fact the top-two teams in the competition are playing, it's certain to be a huge crowd," said Storm CEO Brian Waldron.

On the back of the exhilarating State-of-Origin clash between Queensland and New South Wales at Telstra Dome on Wednesday night, Melbourne Storm is sending out a warning to all attending to get to the ground early to avoid missing kick-off.

"It's shaping as a top-two classic and you can sense in the city the expectation that this will be as thrilling an encounter as the clash on Wednesday night," said Waldron.

"There's no doubt we are expecting our biggest crowd in a long time at ‘The Graveyard', so we implore people to get there early."

To cater for the expected demand, the MCG car park is open as an added bonus for those travelling by car to the ground.

For those travelling by train, the Western entrance of Richmond Station leading out onto Swan Street will also be open.
