Workington have signed former Hull prop Ewan Dowes for next season.
Dowes, 31, won the Challenge Cup with the Airlie Birds, but left at the end of 2011 to move Down Under.
Town vice-chairman Mark Fryer said: “This is another top-class signing.
“It demonstrates our determination to be competitive on the field as we step up to the Championship.”
The Carlisle-born forward started his career at Leeds, and went on to make 235 appearances for Hull in a spell which also included a Super League Grand Final appearance.
