Leigh prop Jake Emmett will miss their hotly-anticipated Challenge Cup clash with Featherstone through suspension.

Emmett, 25, was banned for one match and fined £100 after being found guilty of two Grade A punching offences during the recent win over Halifax.

Halifax prop Tony Tonks was also banned for one match for a Grade B punching offence.

Emmett’s team-mates Sean Penkywicz and Sam Barlow, and Halifax’s Paul Mennell, all avoided suspension after submitting early guilty pleas, although lose the right to submit another EGP in the next 12 months as a result.

Also in front of the RFL disciplinary panel were Super League pair Scott Moore and Gil Dudson.

Both received one-match bans following incidents over the Easter weekend, after submitting early guilty pleas.
