Hull FC skipper Gareth Ellis says the positive attitude of his teammates can help them keep the club’s impressive run of form going.

The Black and Whites defeated Wigan 16-30 on Friday and they are riding high at the top of Super League.

Next up is a derby against Hull KR at the Magic Weekend.

Ellis sees no signs of stopping when his team is united.

“The spirit in the camp is unbelievable and that comes on the back of winning, which is the recipe for success,” he told FC Live.

“We’re enjoying winning, so let’s keep it that way. There will be times when we’re tested and it’s down to how quickly we jump back in but obviously we want to keep winning as long as we can.”

“It seems like every game is a must win-game at the moment and a point to prove. We’ve come through so far this year and now we’ve got the big one that the fans all look forward to.

“We were under the pump for a period against Wigan and they got back into the game, but we showed some resilience, spirit and some great individual moments that swung the momentum back in our favour.

“We showed some class last week against Saints, whilst this week it was about toughness.”

Hull FC have won nine of their past 10 games.

The skipper is looking forward to taking on the Robins in Newcadtle.

“We’ve got the weekend off now to get ourselves ready for a big week and prepare for the game,” Ellis said.

“We’re looking forward to playing games and a big occasion like that up in Newcastle is something we’re looking forward to.”
