Ellis and four others charged by RFL

Hull captain Gareth Ellis has been charged with a dangerous shoulder charge on Kevin Brown during their 7-0 defeat to Widnes on Sunday.

The Grade C offence carries a 2-3 match suspension tariff, and would be a further blow to Hull coach Lee Radford, who called for a crisis meeting following the defeat.

Vikings utility Willie Isa will also face the RFL disciplinary after he was charged with recklessly striking Hull’s Aaron Heremaia.

Both players have the option of an early guilty plea.

The same applies to St Helens prop Kyle Amor, who was cited for a Grade B reckless high tackle on Wakefield’s Matt Ryan.

Definitely up against the RFL Disciplinary Tribunal on Tuesday are Hull KR prop Justin Poore, for a Grade C dangerous throw on Bradford’s Matty Blythe, and St Helens forward Jon Wilkin, for a Grade B reckless high tackle on Wakefield’s Chris Riley.

Formal cautions were handed to Chris Bridge (Warrington), Scott Moore (London), Ukuma Ta’ai (Huddersfield), Ben Kavanagh, Danny Galea and Isa (all Widnes) for various incidents during the round six matches.
