Eleven face fighting bans

Eleven players could face bans for fighting following incidents in last weekend’s Challenge Cup action.

Six players were cited from the Barrow v Lezignan tie, and a further five from Doncaster v Sharlston.

Franck Roviras, Nicolas Piquemal, Florian Quintilla (all Lezignan), Lee Haney (Barrow), Dean O’Loughlin (Doncaster) and Danny Glassell (Sharlston) were all charged with Grade C repeated, violent or sustained punching offences by the RFL disciplinary committee.

Vincent Michau (Lezignan), Barrow player-coach Darren Holt, Nathan Powley (Doncaster) and Sean Emblem (Sharlton) were charged with grade B punching offences.

Leigh’s Ricky Bibey was also charged with a grade B high tackle in their win over London Skolars, and Wayne Foster of amateur side Hunslet Old Boys was charged with a grade D offence of intentional striking with the forearm.
