Eight players charged with punching

Eight Super League players have been charged with punching during their clubs’ Super League Round 22 fixtures.

Jacob Emmitt and Lee Jewitt of Salford City Reds will appear before the RFL Disciplinary Tribunal tomorrow (Tuesday July 22) after they were charged with offences against Catalan Dragons on Friday July 19.

Emmitt has been charged with Grade B punching while Jewitt has been charged with Grade A punching.

A third Salford player, Darrell Griffin has until 11.00am on Tuesday July 23 to submit an Early Guilty Plea after he was charged with Grade C punching in the same game.

Catalan Dragons players Remi Casty (Grade B), Ian Henderson (Grade A) and Gregory Mounis (Grade A) have also been charged with punching during the fixture.

All three players have until 11.00am tomorrow to submit EGPs.

Huddersfield Giants player Larne Patrick and Grant Millington of Castleford Tigers have both been charged with Grade A punching during a Super League fixture on Sunday July 21 and also have the option of submitting EGPs.
