Swinton have received eight applications for the vacant role of head coach.
Steve McCormack only handed in his resignation on Tuesday but a string of quality coaches have already come forward.
“We have had eight inquiries already with three formal applications,” said chairman John Kidd.
“That’s a lot of interest considering Steve only told us he was resigning on Tuesday.
“They are from quality coaches and are very strong candidates.
“But you can’t make a decision like this overnight and in the meantime we are quite happy for Ian and Marlon Billy (assistant coach) to look after the team.”
Swinton are hoping to bury their Keighley jinx when they travel to Cougar Park.
The Lions couldn’t get the better of the Cougars last season and even lost both games in Championship One in 2011 when they went on to win the title.
Keighley are one point above second-bottom Swinton in the Championship and are still looking for their first win.
