Eastwood injury blow for Rhinos

Leeds Rhinos have suffered a blow after specialists confirmed that New Zealand international Greg Eastwood has suffered a wrist injury that will rule him out for at least ten weeks.

The Kiwi international suffered the injury in the win over Harlequins RL last Friday and has seen a specialist this week to confirm the extent of the injury.

Head of Physiotherapist Meirion Jones commented, “Greg Eastwood has seen a specialist following the Harlequins RL game and investigations have revealed an undisplaced fracture of his wrist which will rule him out of selection for a period of 10 to 12 weeks.”

Head Coach Brian McClennan added, “We are all disappointed for Greg especially as he has settled into really well to our squad since his arrival. Every team will suffer injuries over the course of a season and we have every confidence in our squad to deal with the challenges we face.”
