Eastmond signs new Saints deal

England half-back Kyle Eastmond has signed a new two-year contract with St Helens.

The 20-year-old scrum half had a successful 2009, appearing 17 times appearances for the club, scoring 129 points in the process.

He also made his international debut for England in the Four Nations.

It cemented his position as one of the game’s young emerging talents and he will be pivotal to the long-term success of not only the Club, but also the England team.

“Kyle has been with the club for a number of years and we know he has a massive future in the game,” said Saints CEO Tony Colquitt. “Along with his finish to the season for ourselves, he was fantastic in the Four Nations and we are looking forward to him developing with the club.”

Kyle added: “I am delighted to secure a two-year contract with the club. Now my future is sorted I am looking forward to pre-season and having a good year with the Saints.”
