Eagles swoop for Jones

Sheffield have signed prop Ben Jones from Championship rivals Dewsbury.

Jones, 25, came through the academy at Leeds, and played Super League for Harlequins.

Eagles coach Mark Aston said: “It’s great to announce Ben is joining the club.

“He’s a tough, uncompromising, physical front rower and has an excellent attitude and is the type of player we want here.”

Aston also revealed that the back-to-back Championship champions will be announcing further new signings over the next few weeks.
