Harlequins forward Louie McCarthy-Scarsbrook and Wakefield prop Richard Moore have been handed one match bans after being sent off in their side’s clash on Saturday.

McCarthy-Scarsbrook, who was also fined £200,  will miss his side’s Engage Super League match at Warrington Wolves on Sunday after the RFL Disciplinary Committee suspended him for one match for head-butting Richard Moore in the 76th minute of Harlequins’ 18-10 defeat at The Twickenham Stoop last Saturday.

Moore was ordered to pay a £300 fine after being found guilty of punching in the same incident, which led to both players being sent off by referee Ian Smith. Moore will miss Wakefield’s home fixture against Catalans Dragons on Sunday.

Salford City Reds full-back Karl Fitzpatrick is clear to play in his side’s opening Engage Super League fixture of 2010 at Hull KR on Sunday after escaping suspension when he appeared before the RFL Disciplinary Committee.

Fitzpatrick was fined £200 after being found guilty of striking during Salford’s pre-season friendly against Widnes Vikings on January 28.

Widnes Vikings player Thomas Coyle, who was sent off for a high tackle in the same match, was suspended for one match. Coyle immediately announced his intention to appeal against the decision. A date for the appealing hearing will be set on Wednesday.
