Double injury blow for Leeds

Leeds Rhinos have received a double injury blow ahead of Friday night’s trip to Hull KR with the news that Danny Buderus and Greg Eastwood could face at least a month on the sidelines.

Both players had scans this week on injuries suffered in the win over St Helens last Saturday at Headingley Carnegie. Head of Phyisotherapy Services Meirion Jones has confirmed that both players will have a spell on the sidelines following the result of those scans. He commented, “Greg and Danny have both damaged knee ligaments. Greg is expected to be unavailable for six to ten weeks and Danny will be unavailable for two to four weeks.”

The blow comes just as Rob Burrow, Ali Lauitiiti and Luke Burgess are set to return from injuries in the coming weeks. Leeds are still without Brent Webb (ankle), Kylie Leuluai (ankle), Matt Diskin (groin) and Kallum Watkins (knee).
