Doran signs new Haven deal

Whitehaven second rower Lee Doran has signed a new deal with the club for the 2012 season as both a player and assistant coach.

The 29-year-old has been in superb form for Haven this term and was selected for the Championship One All-Stars side earlier this month.

Doran, who has represented Ireland at International level, has previously had spells with Widnes, Leigh, Rochdale and Oldham.

Haven are currently on the look out for a new Head Coach and have set a closing date of the end of the week for receiving applications. To date, the club has received 16 applications from both the local area and overseas.

The club have stated that are looking to appoint a Head Coach in a part time capacity and with this latest announcement, it is now known that whoever lands the role will have Doran as their assistant.
