Former Hunslet player Steve Dooler has been banned for four months after failing a drugs test.

Dooler was found to have provided a sample containing the stimulant Methylhexaneamine that breached the RFL’s anti-doping regulations.

Methylhexaneamine is a specified substance on the WADA Prohibited List which means that it is susceptible to inadvertent use, with the anti-doping pnale accepting that Dooler did not intend to enhance his performance through the use of a supplement.

Dooler’s suspension started on September 18th 2010 and will end on January 17th 2011, leaving him free to start the new season.
