Doncaster have signed hooker Harry Carter from York for the 2020 season.

The 25-year-old made more than 50 appearances during his time at the Knights, having been there since 2015.

Dons coach Richard Horne said: “Harry is a player we have worked hard on bringing to the club and I’m really pleased he has put pen to paper for next season.

“His pace will be a really big asset for us and his game suits the way I want to play rugby, I’m sure our fans will enjoy watching him play.”

Carter added: “I met with Richard Horne and I like where the club is going, he sold both the club and the playing style to me.

“I’m excited to get going in pre-season and feel we’re capable of making a real push for promotion next season.”
