Dixon dreaming of Leigh trip to Wembley

Leigh loose forward Andrew Dixon is keen to reach Wembley with the Centurions, though he knows that getting past Warrington will not be easy.

The Centurions travel to the Halliwell Jones Stadium on Saturday for a quarter-final tie with the Wolves.

They have already knocked Super League sides Salford and Wakefield out of the competition in 2015.

“It would be amazing to get to Wembley with Leigh,” said Dixon.

“We’re obviously the underdogs as we’re in the Championship, but being a spectator in 2008 has made me hungry to want to play at Wembley.

“It’s always a tough place to go is Warrington. They’re always a tough team to beat at home and they play an exciting brand of Rugby League.

“It should be a great game. We know that it’s always tough in this competition but with it being a knock-out game, anything can happen out there.”
