Divorty leaves Dons for Featherstone

Featherstone have signed former Hull forward Ross Divorty from struggling Doncaster.

Divorty becomes the fourth star player to leave the Dons in recent weeks, following Paul Handforth (Batley), Peter Green (Doncaster) and Kyle Briggs, who Divorty will join at the Chris Moyles Stadium.

The 20-year-old signed for Doncaster from York City Knights having come through the Hull academy.

Rovers Head Coach Daryl Powell said: “I’m absolutely delighted to sign Ross and he’ll give us options in our pack.  I think he’s an exciting young player who’ll fit very well into the way we do things at Featherstone.”

Divorty captained the England U16 team as a schoolboy and will be in contention for Featherstone’s next league game against Widnes on Saturday week.
