Huddersfield forward Tyler Dickinson has signed an extended contract to keep him at the club until the end of 2019.

Dickinson, 21, has made nine first team appearances for the Giants.

He said: “It’s taken a lot of hard work to get to this point, but it finally feels like it’s paying off. To have an extra two years with the club and a bit of stability will give me the scope to work even harder to progress my career.”

Coach Rick Stone added: “Tyler is a good young front rower, he’s only 21 and hasn’t played a heap of games but he’s shown he’s got plenty of potential, especially in the recent Hull match.

“He’s showing every week how he’s understanding to be a professional. He’s been in the full-time squad for a number of years and at 21 he’s still a young man.

“He’s played some really good games for us and he’s gaining confidence and wanting more time.”
