Dewsbury have signed young hooker Reiss Butterworth from Huddersfield for 2021.
The 21-year-old made his Super League debut for the Giants in September but has moved to Championship side Dewsbury in a bid to gain more first team action.
Dewsbury coach Lee Greenwood said: “Weβre delighted to bring Reiss to Dewsbury Rams. We were looking for a quality nine to come in and when we knew of his availability we moved quickly.
βHe ticks a lot of boxes for us – young and hungry with loads of potential but has already shown he can play at Championship level.
βThere are elements to his game we can help him with but all the raw materials are there.
“He has been given the number nine shirt which shows how much confidence we have in him to be a big player for us.β
