Dewsbury sign Jamaica international as winger leaves for Batley

Dewsbury have signed Jamaica international Jon Magrin but winger Dale Morton has joined rivals Batley.

Prop Magrin, 24, played for Bradford and London Skolars last season, making 16 appearances in total.

He is current Jamaica international and has previously represented Malta.

Winger Morton, 28, will link up with Batley for the 2020 season after spending seven seasons at Dewsbury.

Morton made 202 appearances for the Rams, scoring 75 tries.

Dewsbury have also confirmed that full-back Joe Martin has signed a new one-year deal with the club.

The Rams have welcomed the appointment of former Scotland international Jack Howieson as the club’s new assistant coach.
