Dewsbury offer free entry to celebrate success

Dewsbury are to celebrate winning the Championship 1 title by making their game against Workington Town free for everyone.

The Rams sealed the title with a 54-14 win over Keighley on Thursday night, and boast a 100% record this season.

They will lift the league trophy at their game with Workington at Tetley’s Stadium on Sunday August 16, and are inviting fans to join them, free of charge.

Chairman Mark Sawyer said: “We were overwhelmed with the response to our season ticket offer at the start of the season and the level of support from the fans throughout the year, both at home and away, has been incredible and has certainly contributed to our success.

“We now want everyone else in the town to experience what they have been missing out on for the last 8 months and it’s not going to cost them a penny! This is an opportunity for the people of Dewsbury to come together to celebrate something positive and we are challenging the town to bring a record breaking crowd to watch us lift the Championship One trophy and join in the party in the Royal Suite afterwards.”

Dewsbury were relegated from National League 1 last season, but will bounce back up at the first attempt.
