Dewsbury expecting Bradford backlash

Dewsbury coach Glenn Morrison is gearing up for a fired up Bradford when the Bulls visit on Sunday.

Bradford are under pressure after being thrashed by Sheffield and being dumped out of the Challenge.

“We’re expecting a backlash from Bradford,” Morrison said.

“They’re going to come strong up the middle. We’ve got nine forwards missing who would have been in our starting 17, so it’s going to be a tough one.

“But we’ll patch up a team and get them on the pitch and do our best.”

Dewsbury lost  40-18 at home by Leigh Centurions last week.

“I’ve been pleased with the boys’ effort,” Morrison said.

“The Easter period is a tough time on everyone and being a part-time team we had to play in the Challenge Cup as well so we’ve played three full-time teams plus a local derby in three weeks.

“We had 10 players missing on the weekend but we put in a good effort bearing that in mind. We just need to get some bodies back and when we do we’ll get more consistency.”
