Dewsbury bring in Bradford youngster

Dewsbury have announced the signing of Bradford back-rower Danny King for 2019.

The 21-year-old has penned a one-year deal with the Rams after leaving Bradford Bulls at the end of last season.

King came through the ranks at Widnes Vikings but will now make the Tetley’s Stadium his new home in 2019.

On joining Dewsbury, King said: “I wanted to play for a good, solid Championship team and I have played against the Rams before for Bradford.

“Dewsbury have always been a really tough Championship, so it was no problem to sign.

“It feels like a progression in my career. It’s going to be a very tough league this year because there are a lot of good Championship teams.

“It is probably the highest in terms of quality that the Championship has been for a long time. However, we as a team are looking to get really stuck in.”
