De Gois considers Super League move

Parramatta hooker Isaac De Gois says he is considering a switch to Super League for 2017.

De Gois appears set to be forced out of the Eels because of the club’s salary cap problems.

The 31-year said he is open to offers from NRL clubs and Super League sides.

“I am really enjoying my footy here but it looks extremely unlikely that I’ll be here next year,” De Gois told The Daily Telegraph.

“I understand how the cap works and I realise the club is having difficulties but I hope the supporters understand I need to look after my family.

“I’ve instructed my manager to consider all options going forward, including the English Super League.”

De Gois made his NRL debut for the Wests Tigers in 2006. The forward has played for Newcastle, Cronull and the Eels, making 212 appearances in total.

Born and raised in western Sydney, De Gois has also played four times for Portugal.
