Danny Levi arrives

New Zealand and Samoa international hooker Danny Levi has arrived in England following his move to Huddersfield.

The 25-year-old has made more than 100 NRL appearances for Newcastle Knights and Manly Sea Eagles.

 

Lachlan Coote boost

Hull KR full-back Will Dagger has hailed the club’s new signing Lachlan Coote. (Hull Daily Mail)

Scotland international Coote has joined the Robins on a two-year deal from St Helens. Dagger told Hull Daily Mail: “I’m just looking forward to working with him. He’s an NRL Grand Final winner and a Grand Final winner over here so he’s got that experience and that knowledge. I’d like to take some of that knowledge to help my game out.”

Will Pryce at full-back?

Huddersfield half-back Will Pryce is ready to switch roles to build on his debut season. (The Sun)

The 18-year-old told The Sun: “I’m more likely to be at full back, I’ve been training there and that’s where I see myself next year. There’s some players of great calibre in that position but you want that competition and to compare yourself, seeing what the best are about.”

New Leeds signing loving life at Headingley

The Ireland international has joined the Rhinos on a two-year deal from champions St Helens. Bentley told The Yorkshire Post: “I am really enjoying it. They are a good bunch of lads and I’m really enjoying training. I’ve been impressed with it all.”

Role model Cunningham

St Helens women’s captain Jodie Cunningham has been named Sportsperson of the Year at the Pride of St Helens Awards. (St Helens Star)

Cunningham led Saints to secure the treble in October and picked up the Woman of Steel award. She told St Helens Star: “This is a dream come true. I do struggle to accept this as it is a team sport, but I am really humbled and really proud. I have to keep pinching myself that I have actually won this.”

Leeds legend Danny McGuire, now assistant coach at Hull KR, turns 39 today (December 6).
