Danny Houghton and Mickey Paea close to returning for Hull FC

Hull FC assistant coach Andy Last says captain Danny Houghton and Mickey Paea could return from injury over the Easter period.

Houghton has missed a long run of games this year after picking up a calf injury in their defeat to Wigan Warriors in Wollongong.

Paea fractured his hand when the Black and Whites lost to Castleford Tigers last month.

Last has revealed that their time on the treatment table may well come to an end over the Easter period, and possibly against rivals Hull Kingston Rovers at the KCOM Craven Park on Good Friday.

He said: “We’ve trained really, really well so far this week.

“It’s great to have Mickey Paea and Danny Houghton out there again.

“Obviously they are going to have to pass their respective protocols before we select them to play in any game, but they’ve trained really well.

“Their reintroduction in the squad will be really important for us going forward in the next few weeks.”
