Daniela is centre of attention for Tigers

Wests Tigers Coach Tim Sheens has moved quickly to replace Dean Collis by landing the signature of Geoff Daniela from Penrith.

The 22-year-old will link up with the Tigers on a two-year deal from the start of the 2010 season.

It is hoped that Daniela will be an adequate replacement for Collis, who signed for Cronulla on Monday.

Tigers coach Tim Sheens said Daniela suits the club’s style.

He said: “Geoff is a very quick player who is stuck behind Michael Jennings and is looking for an opportunity.”

“He has played some first grade and fits our type of player.

“He is very good in attack and will fit into our game very well.”

Daniela’s signing comes just days after the Tigers announced their acquisition former Bradford winger Tame Tupou.
