Hull KR have re-signed prop Dan Murray from Salford on a one-year permanent deal.

The 23-year-old enjoyed a loan spell with the Robins during the 2019 campaign, making 11 appearances. The deal sees back-rower Ryan Lannon return to Salford for 2020.

Hull KR coach Tony Smith said: “It is great that we have been able to extend Dan’s time with us. He was very keen to stay here, and I know he enjoyed his time with us.

“He did a really solid job for us. His best years are still to come, and he is keen to develop his career. He has got a great attitude and work-rate, and he will add depth and experience to us next year.

“It is a real shot in the arm that a lot of those players who joined us on loan during the 2019 campaign wanted to return, including Daniel.

“They see it as an opportunity to improve their careers here and that is what we want – players that want to make some sacrifices and achieve things. They each fit the bill there and have points to prove to establish themselves as consistent Super League players.”
