Wales international Dan Fleming has signed a new one-year deal with Halifax.

The 27-year-old prop has been at hometown club Halifax since the start of 2018, scoring six tries in 57 games for the club.

Fleming said: “I’m happy to be staying at Halifax for another year because I’m enjoying my time at my hometown club.

“I’ve been made to feel welcome from day one so it was a really easy decision to make.

“Recruitment has been brilliant so far, new faces around the squad. It freshens everyone up and keeps everybody on their toes. We’re gonna have to have a big pre-season. We’ve got the same core of players that we’ve had the last two seasons but adding this fresh crop of players is only going to be better.

“Last season we got to the Challenge Cup semi-finals which is probably the highlight of my time so far and then into The Qualifiers the year before that, so hopefully we can build on that and get into the top five again.”
