Dale Bloomfield and Lameck Juma handed lengthy bans

Hunslet’s Dale Bloomfield and London Skolars’ Lameck Juma have received long suspensions.

Bloomfield pleaded guilty but challenged the Grade D charge of ‘other striking offences’ but he was found guilty and the tribunal agreed that the grading was correct.

The winger was given a four-match suspension and £75 fine.

Juma pleaded guilty to a Grade D charge of dangerous contact and was found guilty. He was handed a five-match ban and £75 fine.

Hunslet forward Duane Straugheir pleaded not guilty to a Grade B charge of ‘running in and punching’ which carried a one-match penalty notice.

However, he plead guilty to throwing a punch as part of the indecent and the tribunal agreed with the above. The charge was amended to ‘reaction to opponent – lashing out’ and Straugheir was found guilty of the latter Grade A charge and received no suspension but he was handed a £75 fine.
