Currie targets strong Wolves start against Catalans

Warrington back rower Ben Currie believes that starting strongly is key to his team beating Catalans Dragons at the Halliwell Jones Stadium this weekend.

Catalans go into the game on the back of a fine home win over Leeds last week, and Currie is expecting a tough test from the French outfit.

“Obviously Catalans had a good win against Leeds last weekend. They struggle on their away games though,” he said.

“We know if can start well and give it to them early on, then we should come away with the win.”

On a personal note, Currie feels that he is enjoyed a good season, though he is disappointed about the overall performance of the Wolves in 2015.

“I think it’s been one of my best seasons in the first team,” he said.

“I’ve really enjoyed parts of this year, but obviously there have been lows as well.

“When the team is not playing well it’s hard to stand out individually.

“I know there’s a lot more to come, and I’m looking forward to it.

“I don’t want to be known as the young kid, I want to step up to the senior boys if I can.”
