Crusaders to run Reserves

North Wales Crusaders have announced that they will run a reserve team in the North West Mens League Division 2.

It will be classed as a Crusaders ‘A’ team and it will act as a reserve side for the League 1 club, bridging the gap between the club’s current community set-up and Mike Grady’s first-team.

In the North West Mens League Division 2, Crusaders will come up against the likes of Bury Broncos, Wigan St Judes A, Manchester Rangers, Chorley Panthers, Oldham St Annes A, Leigh East A, Ulverston, Wigan St Cuthberts and Leyland Warriors.

And Crusaders’ reserves will travel to Ulverston in their first fixture on Saturday 3 March.

Kris O’Neil, Crusaders ‘A’ team head coach, said: “I’m really excited that we have been accepted into division two.

“It’s going to be a massive test for myself and the boys, and we’re looking forward to starting with a trip to Cumbria to play Ulverston who are a very good and established side.”
