Widnes prop Ben Cross will sit out their game against Hull KR this weekend following his red card against St Helens at the weekend.

Cross, 34, opted to take an Early Guilty Plea for the offence, a late tackle on Paul Wellens on the hour mark of the Vikings’ 16-4 defeat at the Stobart Stadium.

Catalan prop Julian Bousquet could face up to five games on the sidelines after he was charged with making a Grade D dangerous shoulder charge on Salford half-back Theo Fages, who was taken to hospital following the incident.

Castleford stand-off Rangi Chase has also been cited for a reckless strike on Zak Hardaker during the Tigers’ win over Leeds. Not punished at the time, the England international has been charged with a Grade B offence, which carries a 1-2 match ban.
