Young centre Ben Crooks has signed a new deal with Hull to keep him at the KC Stadium until the end of 2015.

Crooks, 19, is the son of former club legend Lee Crooks, and made his first team debut in the Challenge Cup against Huddersfield earlier this season.

He said: “I’m delighted to have been given an extended contract and to be given the chance to really test myself at Super League level.

“I have loved every minute of my time in the first team this season and making my debut and scoring my first senior tries have been a dream come true, so to be offered a new contract is great.”

Crooks has gone on to score five tries in 10 appearances for Hull since his debut, and is being tipped as a future England international.

Head Coach Peter Gentle said: “He is a big part of the future at the club along with the other youngsters who have made their debuts this year, they haven’t let anyone down.

“We believe has shown enough over the course of the season, not just on the field but off it too, that he can play a prominent role in our side and he has an exciting future with the club.”
