Creagh on Dragons’ hard work

St George forward Ben Creagh says the Dragons’ pre-season preparations are some of the toughest he has experienced.

Under the guidance of conditioning coach Scott Campbell, Dragons players have undergone a gruelling fitness programme in a bid to defend their NRL premiership crown.

Creagh was named club’s Player of the Year last year, but the versatile 25-year-old has been working at full steam to ensure he performs at the same level in 2011.

“It’s been the hardest pre-season training I’ve done and this seems to be the consensus at the Club,” said Creagh.

“But we know that we need to put in a lot of hard work and there will be rewards that come with it.

“Touch wood, I’ve had a great pre-season so far and am looking forward to the upcoming trial matches before the season begins.

“Personally I’ll be carrying the same goals as last season – to play well consistently and help the team win the Premiership again.”

The Dragons kick-off their pre-season fixture programme on Sunday February 13 when they take on South Sydney in the charity shield.
