Keighley full-back Craig Moss has made it a Cougars double by being named the Premier Sports Player of the Week.

The Welsh international full-back followed teammate Scott Law in clinching the accolade, after an impressive hat-trick in the Cougars’ 36-16 win against Swinton Lions.

With only two fixtures being played in Championship One, their weekly awards will be delayed until that round of fixtures is complete.

Similarly, the points awarded towards the end of season Championship Player of the Year award will not be finalised until the Sheffield EaglesWorkington Town fixture is played, completing their round.

Every week each coach in the Championship and Championship One is contacted to help compile the Premier Sports awards.

Premier Sports Championship Player of the Week – Craig Moss (Keighley Cougars)

Craig Moss was playing his first competitive first team game since September on Sunday – but it hardly showed.

Moss scored a hat trick of tries as Keighley recorded a vital 36-16 win at Swinton Lions.

Cougars coach Paul March said: “Craig came straight back in and showed us all what we’ve been missing.

“His support play was outstanding – every time we made a half break he was there.

“He also created some opportunities on the edges, which is something that we’ve been missing.”
