Coventry will return to the Butts Park Arena for the 2020 campaign.

The Bears will play their first game back at Butts Park Arena in a pre-season friendly against Championship side London Broncos on Friday, January 10 (7:30pm).

A new artificial turf has been laid down at Butts Park – a ground which holds 4,000 people. The Bears groundshare with Coventry Rugby.

Coventry Rugby managing director, Nick Johnston, said: “The Bears have been a staple of city centre sport here in Coventry for many years and we’re looking forward to seeing them back at Butts Park Arena.

“It is a big first game for the Bears against London Broncos, especially under the lights, and it will be a tough test for the team in the build-up to the league campaign.

“We’ve built a positive relationship with Alan Robinson, Debbie Watson and the club as a whole and it will be good to have rugby league back in the city centre.”
