Cory Aston joins Newcastle on loan

Newcastle Thunder have confirmed the capture of Castleford Tigers half-back Cory Aston on a one-month loan deal. 

The Sheffield Eagles academy product joined Daryl Powell’s side on a two-year deal ahead of the 2018 season but has yet to make his Super League debut.

The 24-year old has already accrued over 100 first-team games playing for Sheffield, Featherstone and Bradford.

Aston has gone straight into Tim Rumford’s 19-man squad to face West Wales Raiders at Kingston Park Stadium this Saturday.
