Conroy to fill Feather’s boots at Keighley

Keighley have handed Nathan Conroy the unenviable task of filling the boots of retiring hooker James Feather.

Conroy, 22, has signed a new deal with the Cougars for 2018 and will take over the lead hooker role, according to the club.

He has scored two tries in 15 appearances since his arrival, and is the ninth member of the current squad to pledge his future to Craig Lingard’s side.

Feather revealed last month that he will retire at the end of the season after 15 years with the club.

“Buster” has made more than 300 appearances, leading the Cougars to two promotions.

Keighley are in action this weekend at home to York in the League 1 Super 8s.
