Colton Roche returns to Newcastle for 2021

Newcastle have re-signed Ireland international Colton Roche for the 2021 season.

The 27-year-old has made more than 100 appearances for Oldham, Sheffield, Featherstone, York, Bradford and Huddersfield. He has earned two caps for Ireland.

Roche arrived at Thunder ahead of the 2020 campaign, making three appearances for the club before the League 1 season was cut short due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Roche said: “Thunder is a club which has ambition, its great to be a privilege to be a part of a place that had a clear goal.

“I enjoy seeing the guys at training and game days, we play for each other. I’m looking forward to contributing to the 2021 season.”

Thunder have also announced that Evan Simons has signed a new deal with the club for next season.
