Tony Clubb has expressed his frustration at being sidelined for three months and is already looking forward to returning to first-team action.
The front-rower missed Wigan 40-8 Magic Weekend win over Leeds Rhinos with a neck injury and it has now been revealed that he is to be ruled out for an extended period of time.
The 28 year-old has admitted his frustration at being ruled out for so long, but admits he is already looking ahead towards his return to the Wigan first team.
“I’ve been to see the doctor and they confirmed that I’ve got some stress on my neck that’s pressing on my spinal cord,” Clubb told the club’s official website.
“I’m having an operation to release that within the next week, so I’ll be missing training for a short while. After that it could be around 3 months before I get back to full fitness and ready to start some matches again, it’s a long time and it’s a frustrating one too but it’s a big operation and I just want to get it sorted.”
