Clark wants Wolves to sharpen up in attack

Warrington hooker Daryl Clark is keen to see an improvement in attack, when the Wolves play against Widnes on Thursday night.

Tony Smith’s team have lost their last two games, to St Helens and Huddersfield, and Clark wants to see a return to winning form on Thursday.

“We’ve been a bit scratchy in our attack and with our last plays,” he said.

“Basic skills, balls down and stuff like that, not executing properly.

“So if we tidy that up I’m sure we’ll be fine going into the middle of the season.”

Warrington have struggled against the Vikings in recent seasons, though Clark admits that the derby between his current club and the Chemics is not something about which he knows a great deal.

“I’ve been made aware that the Wolves’ record in the last couple of years has not been great,” he said.

“But hopefully we can turn that round this year.

“I’ve not really heard too much about the derby, though, so I’m going to have to find out for myself on Thursday night.”
